About Us

My name is Joyce Blunt and I have been baking and decorating cakes part time for family and friends for the past 20 years. My dear friend Linda Brewer started teaching me the fine art of cake decorating and we had big plans to start our own business. In February of 1992 Linda was diagnosed with cancer and sadly in May she passed away. A month later her son's wedding cake was my very first solo. I have been self taught ever since. In late 2004 my (real) job was eliminated and I decided to give the plans for my own business another try. Thus, with help of my husband Carroll, aka Collie, Sweetez was born. We needed more help before a year had passed and 2 of our daughters-in-law, Rachelle and Michelle, joined us in late 2005. Rachelle has since gone on to bigger and better things and Michelle remains with us. We have had many challenges but we have learned so very much and have been blessed with a whole host of new friends.
